About First Flight Lacrosse

We are a high school boys lacrosse team dedicated to honoring the game by competing with relentless effort and integrity.

Our History

In 2005 a few men on the Outer Banks decided to field a youth lacrosse team for 5th graders. OBX Lacrosse was begun and as kids aged out new teams were created to keep them playing. In 2010 they got to First Flight High School the same time the North Carolina High School Athletic Association decided to make boys lacrosse a state sanctioned sport. The program was given varsity status and First Flight Boys Lacrosse was created.

Since then First Flight boys lacrosse has evolved in to a highly competitive program in the state of North Carolina. The team competes regularly with high quality teams in North Carolina and Virginia. Currently the program has a streak of nine consecutive seasons with a winning record.

First Flight boys lacrosse wouldn't have the success it is experiencing without the feeder program at First Flight Middle School. Led by First Flight graduate, Jordan Lane ('15), the Seahawks have been extremely successful and continue to attract excellent athletes.
